10 Mar / Cat Video Launch Party – 3/17
We asked Lost Moon Radio company member Dan Mahoney to make some cat videos for us. He totally did it and now we’re showing them at our Cat Video-themed St. Patrick’s Day Video Launch Party! Join us!

02 Mar / campfireball – 3/9
On Monday, March 9th, at 8pm, Lost Moon Radio will perform a short set in one of Los Angeles’s most unique and inventive variety show events, campfireball. Built very loosely around a theme, in this case “the lonely rovers of Mars,” campfireball is a fully immersive, community experience where the audience has no idea what’s around the corner.
Past campfireballs have included musicians, comedians, storytellers, short films, online dating, ponies, the world’s largest deliverable pizza, haircuts, campfire flavored ice cream, school bus field trips and more. We don’t know anybody who’s seen it who didn’t find the whole thing magical. (Yes, we said magical. Don’t be a dick about it.) And the whole show is free.

10 Dec / Lost Moon Radio Hits NYC
Lost Moon Radio: Journeys
Lost Moon Radio makes its first NYC appearance with an evening of its award-winning sketches and songs exploring the theme of “Journeys.” Three shows, three chances to see this “hilarious hour of sketch, music and a over arching story that plays throughout” (LAist). The Huffington Post calls Lost Moon Radio “rock and roll comedy that exceeds expectations … silly while avoiding stupid, edgy without being obnoxious and fresh without feeling forced. The ensemble is a seamless display of talents in absolute cohesion.”

This Halloween season, we’re gathering some of our friends and favorite local acts for a line-up of truly nightmarish comedy and music. Terrorific. Horrorgasmic. Spooktacular.
Each night will feature the very best of Lost Moon Radio’s Halloween sketches and songs, plus a guest set from another awesome local sketch comedy group, and an opening set from one of LA’s finest stand-up comedians. You’re sure to either laugh your pants off or have them scared off!
Special guest lineup:
Saturday, October 25th, 7pm: The Story Pirates
Sunday, October 26th, 9pm: The Midnight Show
Hudson Theatre Backstage
6539 Santa Monica Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90038
About our ghoulish guests:
The Story Pirates are a nationally respected education and media organization founded in 2003 to celebrate the words and ideas of young people.
The Midnight Show is a dark, fast, fun explosion of live sketch and video. On the 1st Saturday of every month, TMS features a new celebrity host and an hour’s worth of brand-new material. You can find them on YouTube and iTunes, and see them LIVE at UCB LA and performing around the U.S. at comedy clubs and theaters.
02 Oct / Opening for CHARLES on 10/4
This Saturday night, we’re doing an opening set for the sketch comedy duo CHARLES at the Electric Lodge in Venice. In keeping with the two-person vibe, we’re presenting a very stripped-down version of Lost Moon that is just Frank and Dylan, which should be weird and awesome.
Charles has arrived quite recently in LA after making a name for themselves in Seattle, and their freewheeling existential comedy space opera MOBY ALPHA was a highlight of this year’s Hollywood Fringe.
The show is at 8pm, and tickets are $15 at the door, $12 in advance. Hope to see you there!
In an age of political gridlock, we’re at least moving forward on one important front: Dan Oster is playing Bill Clinton, and you can see him do it every Thursday night in Hollywood.
President Hillary, now playing at Second City Hollywood, is set in January 2017, in the first 24 hours of Hillary Clinton’s presidency, as she takes on China, climate change, Bill, Chelsea, and the ghost of Eleanor Roosevelt! See these events now a full 27 months before they come to pass!
The show is playing every Thursday at 8pm through December 18th (with the exception of Thanksgiving because America). Tickets are $10 and available on the Second City website. Also $5 discount tickets are available for many nights on Goldstar.
President Hillary stars the very talented Molly Erdman as Hillary with Josh Callahan, Julian Clark, Andy Cobb, Rachna Khatau, Jessie Sherman, Bobby Huynh and, as previously discussed, Lost Moon Radio’s own Dan Oster. It’s written by Marc Warzecha & Andy Cobb and directed by Marc Warzecha, with music by Michael Pollock. The musical director is Ben Bromfield and the assistant director and choreographer is Rani O’Brien.
16 Sep / America Embraces Ken Burns
There are a number of interests that unite Lost Moon Radio, but quite high on the list is a shared love of documentaries, sitting in front of bookcases pretending to be experts, and Ken Burns.
But there’s one endorsement that we will probably cherish above all others.
