The Virgil Exterior - NightAfter a sold-out performance at Westside Comedy last month, we’ve decided to bring back our Rebels & Outlaws show for one more night, this time on the Eastside in our first appearance at a fantastic comedy and music venue: The Virgil.

An hour of sketches and songs exploring the ne’er-do-wells and game changers that we love to misunderstand, Lost Moon Radio: Rebels & Outlaws features castmembers Frank Smith, Lauren Flans, Ryan Harrison, Dan Oster, and Jen Burton, with Will Greenberg as Jupiter Jack. Live rock n’roll by our house band, The Moon Units, featuring Dylan Ris, Brenton Kossak, Eric Kalver, and Dave Lang.

The Lost Moon Rebel Video Contest

But hey, maybe you’re like, “This all sounds great, but can I see the show for free?” Okay, you’ve convinced us. Post a video of yourself doing something rebellious (10 seconds to 1 minute) on the Lost Moon Radio Facebook page with the hashtag #lostmoonrebels, and we’ll give you a FREE TICKET to our May 30th Rebels and Outlaws show. Whether you shoot it on an iPhone or an Arri Alexa, all videos are welcome. This rebellion display can be something small (like drinking white wine with steak) or significant (overthrowing a government). It can be funny or it can be brave. We leave it in your hands.

AND if your video gets the most likes by Thursday the 28th at midnight, Lost Moon will pay your bar tab for the evening (up to $50). So, share your video with your friends and we’ll see you at The Virgil on May 30th!

NEW DAN’S CATS EPISODE! Apparently a lot of people are getting a dog
commercial as the YouTube ad right before this vid. Sorry about that. Guess it’s twice the
animals though LOL! ‪#‎danscats

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new series DAN’S CAT VIDEOS! The first two are live now. We’re releasing more every Wednesday for the next two months. Enjoy! #danscats

Live show update! We’re bringing one of our favorite episodes, “Rebels and Outlaws,” back to the stage for the first time in three years. It’s a full hour of some of our very best sketches and songs at our favorite venue west of the 405, Westside Comedy.

On Monday, March 9th, at 8pm, Lost Moon Radio will perform a short set in one of Los Angeles’s most unique and inventive variety show events, campfireball. Built very loosely around a theme, in this case “the lonely rovers of Mars,” campfireball is a fully immersive, community experience where the audience has no idea what’s around the corner.

Past campfireballs have included musicians, comedians, storytellers, short films, online dating, ponies, the world’s largest deliverable pizza, haircuts, campfire flavored ice cream, school bus field trips and more. We don’t know anybody who’s seen it who didn’t find the whole thing magical. (Yes, we said magical. Don’t be a dick about it.) And the whole show is free.

There are a number of interests that unite Lost Moon Radio, but quite high on the list is a shared love of documentaries, sitting in front of bookcases pretending to be experts, and Ken Burns.

Clearly, we’re not alone in our feelings, as evidenced by the enthusiasm for this project from such diverse internet sources as Indiewire and Slate.

But there’s one endorsement that we will probably cherish above all others.

Lost Moon Radio: Mix Tape

We had such a blast with Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show, that we’re coming at you with another one-off summer offering, but this time on a larger scale and at Westside Comedy. We’re calling it Lost Moon Radio: Mix Tape.

It’s 1995. Chelsea is 15. And she has one way to win the love of her life/school year: a MIX TAPE. Fortunately she has the full Lost Moon cast and band to help her. See it happen LIVE at the finest comedy venue west of the 405.

Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show

After the spectacle and pageantry of Million Dollar Hair, we’re stripping things down to the essentials for Lost Moon’s July offering. And by “essentials,” we mean comedy hip-hop songs and historical monologues. It’s Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show.

Join Lauren Flans (star of MTV2’s Wild ‘N Out) and Frank Smith (regular viewer of MTV2’s Wild ‘N Out) for an evening of raps you won’t forget and monologues you also won’t forget. Accompanied by three of Lost Moon Radio’s talented musicians. Plus: performance by two-man improv team Squidge! Hosted by Lost Moon Radio regular Galloway Allbright.

Lost Moon’s 5th Anniversary Blow Out

In the spring of 2009, we crammed six actors, a rock band, and 40 of our dearest friends into a Lost Moon Radio tiny theater above a bar for the first Lost Moon Radio show. Since that night, we’ve produced fifteen original episodes, dozens of one-offs and special events, videos, podcasts, a glam rock musical, two high-concept awards shows, and literally hundreds of pages of unpublished erotic fan fiction. Now it’s time to celebrate! On May 17th, join us for a night of our favorite sketches and songs from the last five years.
