lost moon singing

Monday, March 30th, at 8pm

Live show update! We’re bringing one of our favorite episodes, “Rebels and Outlaws,” back to the stage for the first time in three years. It’s a full hour of some of our very best sketches and songs at our favorite venue west of the 405, Westside Comedy.

Santa Monica, CA 90401
(Yes, that is in the alley between 3rd and 4th. This is cool and not sketchy.)

Monday, March 30th

On Monday, March 9th, at 8pm, Lost Moon Radio will perform a short set in one of Los Angeles’s most unique and inventive variety show events, campfireball. Built very loosely around a theme, in this case “the lonely rovers of Mars,” campfireball is a fully immersive, community experience where the audience has no idea what’s around the corner.

Past campfireballs have included musicians, comedians, storytellers, short films, online dating, ponies, the world’s largest deliverable pizza, haircuts, campfire flavored ice cream, school bus field trips and more. We don’t know anybody who’s seen it who didn’t find the whole thing magical. (Yes, we said magical. Don’t be a dick about it.) And the whole show is free.

(The show is in the very cool back room that you probably didn’t even know was there, entered through the Pub.)

(No reservation necessary. Awesome food and beer available on site.)

Lost Moon Radio’s Lauren Flans is featured in this week’s Epic Rap Battles of History video. She plays Ellen and kicks Oprah’s ass. (But the competition is fierce.)

After 146 years, we finally have a Little Women the way it was meant to be seen: live on stage in Hollywood with Lauren Flans playing Jo March.

WOMEN is the New York hit that won Best Comedy at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival and is now returning to The Asylum Theatre for a limited run. This fast paced comedy is a mash-up of Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women and HBO’s critically acclaimed Girls, delivering a smartly crafted and hilarious 55-minute show.

Note: The show is sure to be excellent every night, but die-hard Lauren Flans fans (“flans”) should note that she will not be appearing in the 9/13 and 9/27 performances.

The show opens on Sept.5th and tickets are $15: (There’s also a preview on Thursday, Sept.4th, to which you can obtain half-price $7.50 tickets with the code “preview”:

WOMEN is written by Chiara Atik, based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, and directed by Stephanie Ward.  In addition to Lauren, the cast features Erika Rankin, Jacquie Walters,  Brigitte Valdez, Chris Farrah, Clayton Farris, Joseph Patrick O’Malley, Ben Moroski, and J.B. Waterman.  Plus lighting design by Lost Moon Radio’s own Brandon Baruch!

Lost Moon Radio: Mix Tape

We had such a blast with Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show, that we’re coming at you with another one-off summer offering, but this time on a larger scale and at Westside Comedy. We’re calling it Lost Moon Radio: Mix Tape.

It’s 1995. Chelsea is 15. And she has one way to win the love of her life/school year: a MIX TAPE. Fortunately she has the full Lost Moon cast and band to help her. See it happen LIVE at the finest comedy venue west of the 405.

Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show

After the spectacle and pageantry of Million Dollar Hair, we’re stripping things down to the essentials for Lost Moon’s July offering. And by “essentials,” we mean comedy hip-hop songs and historical monologues. It’s Lost Moon Radio: The Solo Show.

Join Lauren Flans (star of MTV2’s Wild ‘N Out) and Frank Smith (regular viewer of MTV2’s Wild ‘N Out) for an evening of raps you won’t forget and monologues you also won’t forget. Accompanied by three of Lost Moon Radio’s talented musicians. Plus: performance by two-man improv team Squidge! Hosted by Lost Moon Radio regular Galloway Allbright.

Lauren Flans is back for an all-new season of Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out in just a few short weeks. Check her out in the teaser trailer below:

She wants to know what you’ve got for her! Nick Cannon is concerned about her mental well-being! Wild N’ Out: Season 6 premieres Wednesday, July 2nd, at 11/10c on MTV2.

In the meantime, you can bask in Lauren’s comedic rapping and elaborately choreographed dance skills LIVE this month in Lost Moon Radio’s Million Dollar Hair, an original comedy tribute concert now playing at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

We’re headed to the always fabulous Hollywood Fringe Festival for our fourth year, and we’re bringing a brand-new show: Million Dollar Hair. Come celebrate the life and death of fictional music icon Bernie Schonfeld in this unforgettable tribute concert. Over five decades in the industry, the groundbreaking music producer, record label owner, and amateur homeopath made history with his nontraditional taste and unforgettable haircut. Learn of his adventures (and scandals!) from the rock stars, legends, and family members who knew Bernie best in this song (and joke!) filled evening. If you combined Dylan going electric with the premiere of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and poured it over the Beatles at Shea Stadium, that event wouldn’t be half as big as Million Dollar Hair.

Needless to say, we’re super excited to be returning to the festival where we nabbed two “Best of Comedy” awards and the 2012 “Top of the Fringe” prize. Get your tickets now for one of our nine performances!

Lost Moon’s 5th Anniversary Blow Out

In the spring of 2009, we crammed six actors, a rock band, and 40 of our dearest friends into a Lost Moon Radio tiny theater above a bar for the first Lost Moon Radio show. Since that night, we’ve produced fifteen original episodes, dozens of one-offs and special events, videos, podcasts, a glam rock musical, two high-concept awards shows, and literally hundreds of pages of unpublished erotic fan fiction. Now it’s time to celebrate! On May 17th, join us for a night of our favorite sketches and songs from the last five years.
